I may be an unlucky soul, or too adventurous. I gave up with Opera after it would not handle my online banking properly. I moaned to Lloyds Bank and they knew about the issue and suggested I go back to Google Chrome, where I was before, without problem. I just tried to order a micrometre from RS Components and right at the last point where I kept getting bad request with some more unhelpful information, I phoned. They could not take the order over the 'phone as I don't have an account, but said that it was probably my browser. Sure enough, it was. I tried again with IE and it went straight through.
I've dumped Opera and now seen the shortcomings of Chrome. I am using a PC with Windows but I was working towards dumping Windows and getting more devices to use other operating systems.
I guess my quest for the simple life of having the same operating system on phone, tablet, and PC is doomed. And no, I don't want anything Apple.
As the main device from browsing, ordering, and banking, what do most people use as the operating system and browser?
