My 1299 has 3 months Ducati warranty left on it, I haven't done any modifications in case I had to claim on the warranty. So how much difference would a BSD remap and 2 teeth on the rear sprocket really make? Night and day, or just a bit better? Improvements from around 3k up, would be more use than just top end for me. I don't want the expense of a full system either.

I could never afford a 1299, - much too quick and expensive for my lifestyle (maintenance payments/mortgage/gambling and alcohol) but someone on here should be able to give you advice 
My old 1299S was on ebay last week, the owner before me had it for less than a year and traded it for a V4, I had it for less than a year, and the guy selling it now less than a year, but wants a V4. The bike has still only done 4.5k miles. If it hadn't been £14k I might have had it back.

I got my 1299 remapped by a very good guy here in Ireland called mototunning it gave me 6/7 bhp but the fueling makes it feel like a different bike particularly down low in the Rev range it's lumpyness was tuned out.. He tuned each cylinder separately and reckoned its about as bad a fueling job on any bike he's done

He was a Full day setting my bike up and Gary said it was like the ecu wasn't even for my bike when he started it was that bad... Maybe I scared him

Hes the top man here for all southern road racers and normally 350 to remap and Dyno any bike but the time involved in a Duc is 500, each cylinder mapped and you get the Dyno readout is my understanding but that could be horseshit ... It was worth it to me because i hated it in traffic particularly and it had a termignoni system fitted with a power commander.. As Paul said he doesn't even want to do them anymore
Useful to know he does do it it though, maybe he just didn’t like the cut of the fella I know from the SW who asked the question.
