Can't give her away , high maintenance :D

Was the 999R on the website ?? Can't seem to find it :(

Spoke to Ducati Manchester and they sold the 999R yesterday for £11,500

Mind you it only had 600 miles on the clock ! Looks like it was a trade in for a 1098 :D

Snell's in Alton just sold one for £12,500; also with about 600 miles on it. Moral of the story: Buy North, Sell South.

I don't want it! I was thinking of fergie being offered £9k px for a 1098 for his xerox:rolleyes:

Did I hear someone mention £9000 ??? I'll take it!!

That figure was a couple of months ago, and it has had a service (£478 - Dick Turpin Ducati) and has not turned a wheel cos of my latest bout in the hospital. So all things considered £9000 could be a touch top heavy!:D

Anyway, mine is a Xerox, and as Neepdocker will tell you all (and has done plenty:rolleyes: ) its only a bike with garish stickers!

I'm still in love with the bike. What else can guarantee you a shag in Inveraray!

Sounds a hell of a deal the only concern being track body work with it ie;does it require new t*ts as the originals have been thrashed off it.Lovely looking thing though, but there again, so was my ex wife but mad as a sack of squirrels !!

Update !!!!!!

OMFG I now own a 999R  (or will do if its as good as it looks and following an inspection)

Finally got my dream machine and am totally chuffed !!

Will let you know what happens and I'll invite Scottch round to give it the once over, for the price of a large pint of wifebeater ??

You will have to ask Mikey to change your site moniker now:)

Cheers Steve ,

Will do just that but I'll also wait until the deal is done and its safely in my garage ;)

Eeeeeeeeee I'm all excited :D

And here's me thinking you had no sense of humour........

If you get bored waiting for the thing to get fixed, I know a guy selling a Xerox replica. The real thing, not a copy!:D

Much cheapness!!

Is this the one I heard about thats going for 9K ?? :D SOLD !!!

Oooooooo the things we do for a 1098 ;) :lol2:

Seriously though PM me with your asking price as no money has changed hands yet for the 999R ;)

I know the owner of this, a DSC guy, and have been to germany twice with him on this bike...can confirm its well looked after (and got lots of stick for talking a cleaning kit and cover!!)

worth the money IMHO and the QB stuff looks good fitted - be surprised if you get better, especially at that price!!

Cheers for the vote of confidence bradders ;) Totally agree but if he changes his mind about selling I need to keep my options open :) I really hope he doesn't cos I have my heart set on this and have to stop myself planning trips out til I get it !!!!

Take it from me it will be looked after in the manner to which it is accustomed to :D

Sorry guys...!

The joke is on me. I own a 999R Xerox 06/06 which has been debated on here due to its plummeting value, wrongly in my opinion, after the 1098 launch!

Saying that, it is for sale. With 4.5k miles and a recent £500 service, slipper clutch and carbon hugger, and a Tracker! Phew.

I want £15k mind. But it IS for sale!

And I can arrange finance for you at a very very very good rate.

PM me to talk!
