James, we are both so sorry to hear this sad news.
We first met your dad at the 1st Monster weekend in 2003 on the yellow peril and kept in loose contact with the old git ever since.

Condolences to you all

Charlotte & Alan

Hello again,
I'd like to thank you all for your amazingly kind words over the past few days, I have shown them to my mum and my sister and they have been of great comfort to us all. We have been reminded of the things we saw in my dad and the kind and heartwarming man he was. The number of replies shows the number of people who responded so positively to either meeting him or seeing his posts on the site. I think Eon would be embarassed by all this, but it only serves to further the pride I have in him.

The funeral should be next week and someone has asked me if it would be ok if biker attendees could come in their gear and on their bikes. I've asked the family and we all agree Dad would have liked that very much. If anyone else would like to come please don't hesitate to email me at jamescarlyle1@gmail.com soon, so that we can get an idea of numbers.

I think I'll be printing out the forum responses and taking them to the service as they really do say so much about my Dad. Your kindness is truly appreciated and all the offers of help overwhelming, Eon had some wonderful friends.

Thank you again, and I will see some of you at the funeral, stay safe,

James Carlyle.

yes it's a beemer, but he did love the 916, monster and multistrada he has had over the years!

James,

I'm shocked and saddened to hear about this. I met your dad a couple of times when he was up here in Scotland for biking trips and I remember a decent chap. My sincere condolences to you and your family,

It's dreadfully sad to hear that your Dad is gone, James. I had the pleasure of meeting him on a couple of occasions, a genuine nice guy. He will be missed by many, and not forgotten.

Like CK we met your dad through the ukmoc weekenders. He took my daughter pillion on his multi to film one of them.

I'm shocked and deeply saddened by this news and the loss of such a wonderful person :(

My sincere condolences James and all of Eons family and friends.

once again, sincere condolences James, Only met your dad a couple of times but as with everyone else, found him a genuine, warm and friendly guy. I also enjoyed his posts on here. I hope all the genuine heartfelt sympathy expressed on the site, helps you and the family in some small way through the difficult times.

Top bloke who'll be sadly missed. Only ever met him twice on ride-outs to Bridlington and we put the world to rights over fish and chips. Great memories of a passionate and likeable guy.

So sorry to hear about your Dad James. My condolences to you and your family and a big:beer: to your dad's life.
Tam.

I just realized who Overripe & Keen was. I only met him the once on the Midgie Mash when Carlo's bike broke down. A really nice bloke, I'm sorry to hear this. Regards to his family.

James, I really dont know what to say. I met up and rode a few times with your dad and he really was the most genuine nice guy anyone could meet. Like others I am now wishing I had spent more time with him as he was great company and seemed from our conversations to be very much a family man. Please let me know the funeral arrangements as I will be wanting to attend if thats ok. I hadnt spoken to Eon for a while though he had left a message for me a few weeks ago that I had forgotten to return :(

He also had many friends over on multistrada.net so it may be an idea to post something on there if you havent already. If for any reason you are unable to let me know and I will do it for you.

Condolances to you and your family at this terrible time.

Martin
