Africa twin 1100 spin off, what is it?

The relaunched Africa twin 1000 never really grabbed the kudos of the original 750 version or biker communities attention. Upping the capacity to 1100 still failed to see much love for the africa twin.

For some reason, Honda have sought to use much of the A/T and with a few twists and turns have created something called the NT 1100. Honda opted not to update the two VFRs to Euro5 emissions compliance, and as a result the Crossrunner is already dead and the VFR800 will follow it soon. The NT1100 it's claimed will fill the gap they leave.

I think honda were so far of the bhp of the competition it didn't make much impact on that adventure bike community a mate has one he loves it!

Having rode both I disagree the AT adventure I test rode felt oldskool and a little underpowered and that was compared to my GS which aren't exactly high powered, for me personally the Honda wasn't even at the races

You're daft though like Rob and Jat the Africa Twin is known as a proper adventure bike and not an old mans shopping trolley like the GS

Maybe the original and I'd agree there bullit proof the new one is an imposter a wannabe africatwin

I've got a CRF1000 ATAS, I find it a lot of fun, and plenty powerful enough for the road, but bloody hell, it's waaay too heavy.
