I used to go regularly to the ring ( I live about 4 hours away) up until i had a nasty accident in 2000 and was hit by another biker going into Galgenkopf ( last corner before the home straight).
a very complicated experience that nearly cost me my life and also my Job..
its all to very easy to become involved in someone else's stupid decision making process.. and there are a lot of carless people on the ring now, all trying for sub 9 laps etc
I have been back since on bike, but now I would be more than happy to run a car around instead... maybe next year in my M3..
