Hi guys and gals, this is my first post. I have a Panigale 1299 v2, shod (unsurprisingly) with Supercorsas. I am looking to replace them early next year and am looking at the Battlax S23. The Corsas are absolutely brilliant. In the dry. Trouble is I go away on bike holidays as often as I can, often booked months in advance so it is always pot luck with the weather. This year we went up to the Northeast, just off the A68. As you would expect the weather was sketchy with all 4 seasons on most days. I have to say that in the wet the corsas were far from confidence inspiring and on the M6 with very heavy rain felt downright dangerous. I have had Battlax's many times over the years and been very happy with them, but would appreciate any feedback on either the S22/23's or any other tyre for the Panigale that you would recommend.

Welcome to the forum chief, I would suggest for touring T33's brilliant in the wet very confidence inspiring amazing grip levels, dry they're awesome, an a better mileage to boot.
S33 will be a good as your supercorsa's but with a wee bit more wet performance, I'm a Bridgestone fan boi so you don't have to listen

Rain on the A68? What nonsense. Never heard of such a thing. Up here in the north east the weather is always balmy and warm. We never have 70mph winds and horizontal rain. Must be thinking of Cumbria, or Scotchland. Or Yorkshire..

That was my 3rd time being based up there in the tropics Bellingham, Otterburn and Quebec. No, not that Quebec. So balmy and tropical was the weather each holiday, that next time I'm up that way it will be on a jetski. Love the roads, not so keen on the weather.

Bellingham is practically Kielder. Very occasionally light drizzle may be encountered there as the perfidious Jockanese push it over the border from Scotchland when no one's looking. With a following wind some of this dreich may make it to Otterburn, if so, push on to Rothbury where it's always like Abu Dhabi.
Quebec is Durham coalfield territory. Remember to count the wheels on your bike in the morning after a stopover there. I nearly bought a house nearby in Esh Winning. Someone who grew up there said it's not a bad place but if you go to the pub, wear a gumshield.

I have Pirelli Diablo Rosso 4s on my Diavel. I've no idea what they're like in the wet because I live in the north east.
