Fucking sure i would over the electronic shit ... their are vast amounts of electronic theft compared to real money ... you can buy a pen on amazon for a quid to check if cash is real ... good luck the other way getting info from a bank
My sister just sold a plot of land in Ireland with building permission. There is a small 2.5 acre field adjoining it which doesn't have permission but the builder wants it and they agreed a price but the builder wants to pay a chunk of it in cash - closer to 3 figures than 5. She checked with her Irish bank about depositing the cash anbd they said "that'd be no bother - can I ask where it's from?" She said just sold off some things.... "ok grand".

I understand anything £10k or above going into a bank is notified to HMRC over here.
Just a reminder 
It's stupid. Once you've banked money it's traceable and effectively declared and if you're investigated you will be taxed on it if you can't account for its source. It's the cash you don't bank that the revenue should worry about but that doesn't seem to occur to them.
It's like firearms departments revoking the certificates of FAC holders who seek medical help when they're going through a tough time. Everyone goes through tough times just like everyone needs to bank cash from time to time. It's the ones who hide it you should worry about, not the ones who do the right thing.
It's low hanging fruit...always the same.
