Numerus dukes on top of the cat & fiddle last Saturday late afternoon/teatime ish... Black Sportbike, multistradas and some others, i didnt take a really lot of notice i was only there for a few minutes...

Dought anyone here or there would have spotted me...
 
Spent three days in Lancashire and Derbyshire last week. Over snake pass and the cat & fiddle etc. What have they done ? Max speed 50mph , biker crash zones, double white lines everywhere, average speed camera's rear facing. On the other hand you can still ride at national speeds on single track farm roads!!!! In a word - depressing !!
I imagine it's down mostly to bike casualaties.

In my borders days I used to nip down there now and again do the C&F, have chips at Matlock Bath etc. Last time was when they had just put up all that guff. It really was the LAST TIME. Makes you realise how spoiled we are up here.
 
I know ive driven the whole of the A9 to the top of scotland, a friend from my neck of the woods lives outside groats, there's only one fix camera on there... the rest of it is just mobile camera points, i see why colin was so good at rally driving if youve got twisted roads like that A9...

... If your not a local to that cat n fiddle route theres no way you can drive round it fast like all road your not familar with... That road is similar to bit of the IoM TT track...
 
Aye when I was a lad... I used to live in Macclesfield and would spend many an evening hammering a gpz600r over the cat n fiddle racing fz750's gsxr's etc. or go via Whaley bridge, Chapel-en-le-Frith, and Winnats Pass to Sheffield. Alas the local constabulary took a dim view of dragging people out of fields after altercations with stone walls..so I moved to the Borders.
 
I think this was the backdrop for part of the 'Accused' season on BBC on Tuesday night.

I seem to remember a time when Sean Bean could act... but maybe not. Wasn't convincing as either character. Good plot from McGovern as ever though.

Agree. I thought he looked uncomfortable in both roles, and not as cute as you in stockings!!!!!!
