Guys,
discussed with DUK and agreed a 'deal/discount' for SDC members, PM me if you are interested and I will give more info abotu the discount and booking info.

I appreciate this is probably not very attractive for the vast majority of our members, but still its an offer available...perhaps to some of our members closer to the tracks themselves in England or at least near the borders. I would need to know names who is interested at least 6 weeks before the track event.

The dates of the Ducati Track Days are:
30 May Full Circuit Donington
29 June GP Circuit Silverstone

Hire bikes are available, if your members desire. This is at a cost including fuel and tyre usage of:
Ducati SuperSport - £265
Panigale 959 - £285
Panigale 1299 - £365

Leather rental is also available for £39

Cost will be £189 per person, this will include:

Breakfast and Lunch for riders (spectators will be able to buy their own food at the same venue)
Exclusive to Ducati bikes only
California Superbike School coaches available for tips and hints FOC
A great atmosphere, more than ‘just’ a track day.
There will be star guests, journalists, racers, VIPs, etc.
Noise limit is 105db

Donnington is actually pretty easy to get to, you can fly down with FlyBe, flights are reasonable. You can walk to the circuit from the airport (10 mins), I did this a while back when I went to a Moto GP round.

I have just booked Silverstone on 29th of June, but my price was £189 through Wendy at California Superbike School without any special discount?

Apparently Donington is sold out, and Silverstone all the Intermediate group is sold out.

Anyone else going? Anyone know of any good cheap B&B's?
 
For anyone interested I travelled down with my bike and done the Ducati UK trackday hosted by CSS at Silverstone and it was a fantastic day out.

The day was very well organised, lots of nice machinery, very well looked after and access to Techs/Suspension Gurus/tyre facility and instructors as you require.

It was the full Moto GP circuit and after doing knockhill for years was nice to try something different. The track is enormous with plenty long sweeping bends you can squeaze the gas on to full throttle while still cranked over which is all new to me and very rewarding once you start to get it right. Knockhill is still a great circuit but the corners are very short in comparison.

It was a Ducati only day with no racers or cheap track bikes and everyone kept their distance, no idiots are hassle the entire day. Surprisingly I don't know of anyone taken off due to bikes being too noisey which was a concern going to my first track over the border.

I'm now craving bigger circuits, quite fancy trying Donington next or a trackday abroad.
