I often dropped a wrap of speed into my ballygowen back in the day ... I cant say it was great for quality but fuck me production was dynamite 😆
 
Once you get past his constant need to talk due to his autism, I find him interesting to watch as he genuinely wants to know how things work.

I remember watching one of his travel shows where he was in Japan and was being shown how to make a Katana (Samurai Sword) and by watching, listening and taking guidance they made one with the skilled sword maker saying guy had a good feel for the metal and he would take him on as a student should guy wish. Quite a compliment

I met him in person he even topped up a mates gs1250 with his own oil in the pits he was sound and thoroughly nice bloke and chatted to us about the trips he had done travelling he was asking us about a trip we had just come back from in croatia and Bosnia and was asking loads of questions. He was completely unlike Michael Dunlop who was obnoxious to say the least when we met him at a paid event he was hosting... so strokes for folks..

And on the show about the Vulcan, Lancaster etc they said he would be perfect for the restoration team or as a pilot or as an astronaut….
Load of bollocks.
Never won a TT though….

Michael has won 33 TT’s and is a legend.

Yes an obnoxious legend.. I give not a single fuck for his achievement they make zero difference to my life .. a Guinness is a Guinness no matter who or what they are .. in my opinion the planet is fucked from putting people on pedestals and letting them do and act what ever way they want because well they are famous..👍

Dunlop has a way about him that isn't people friendly, Martin doesn't revel in his celebrity status and is people friendly. different strokes for different strokes.

He was definitely more comfortable questioning us about our trips than asking him about his shows .. we met him in the yard of ballycummin stables in Skerries it doubles as a car park my friends dad opens for the races.. he chooses to stay in this farm yard rather than be in the paddock as he said he likes to be away from the fuss .. very nice bloke

I’m not a fan of a ‘celebrity’ who makes telly programmes as I don’t watch telly.
Guy was ok before he made the TT film, he then started to believe his own hype.

I don't doubt that Martin is a thoroughly decent bloke in person but it's his TV persona that I find irritating. He's got this incessant cock-sparrow perkiness that gets wearying, like having a small dog constantly frisking round your feet.
If I had to have a pint with a TT champion it would be Johm McGuiness. He seems the most normal of the lot.
