still no forum though Steve despite offers to do it for them.... A wealth of technical knowledge is about to be lost because its not been recorded in an accessible, searchable database :(

the msn forum is not searchable though so relies upon owners with knowledge being there to answer queries, the way most other forum software runs is that you get an ever expanding database of question/answer so can go back in time and find answers, IMHO the ILOC don't recognise the importance of the knowledge that is around now and that one day it may not be :(

did you get your neutral light fixed ? :D
 
Haven't really investigated yet.
I'm going to change the oil at 500miles so that would seem an appropriate time to fiddle since it'll all come piddling out the switch hole anyway. Gave it a bit of a check over after first shakedown last weekend & no horrors apparent. Just the usual misaligned cables etc & a blown bulb.
Then decided shed needed a serious tidy before the 748 gets a service. About to go & make further inroads now. The Beeza in boxes & assorted K100 stuff needs to move. I just don't know where to.
Why do we keep boxes of worn out & broken bits ?

Well I forced myself to bin a 748 clutch drum with the most corrugated fingers you've ever seen and a swinging arm spindle that had been drilled out. Everything else just got rationalised.
Is this progress ?

Ah yes, Gizmo's theory of restoration - crap expands in a direct relationship to the space in a shed, move to bigger shed - more crap so the only way to reduce crap is to move to a smaller shed.

Tidying up never works, you just go off on a tangent looking at things you forgot about and then end up getting more "useful" stuff to fill the space you just made and compliment the bits you'd forgotten about.
