Is this good value?

Some lucky fella's enjoyed 8k+ miles on this...is it good value now at 80k? Bids would be much lower...say you could buy it for £73k - that would be value IMO (not that I'm in that league) but if I were, I reckon that would be a deal. The mileage means you can get to enjoy it, and not worry too much about depreciation.

At that price and being in money no object i would get a Desmosedici RR. (y)

I get that...more analogue than digital.

But without comparing the Superleggera to other bikes, at say£73k, does it sound like a good deal for someone who wants to ride it 1500 miles a year? Rather than pay high 80s for an ultra low mileage bike thats value would drop if you did the same mileage on it.

Absolutely and although it's a special bike it looks like a panigale variant.... Yea Yea I know 👀 but the desmo is stand alone special and that's what always made it my dream bike 👌

If it's a bike you want to ride and not a garage queen yes, i am a rider and will put a shit load of miles on what ever, i've always wanted a desi but that will not be a bike i will never own and i would ride it all year round. My 900ie has just hit 67K today and i bought it with just over 2.5K on it, my 650 Bandit i bought from new in 2005 had 52K on it when i sold it, she was well looked after!!

I saw a Desmo about a year ago going the other way on some twisties, and it did have an aura about it and sounded awesome.

The Superleggera looks like a Pani, because it is one - but its pretty much carbon from the wheels up, so it's a lot more than a marketing gambit.

As i stated before, it's not all about power, the amount of fun i had on my C90 Cub after i upjetted it and played around it was fucking awesome!! I remember going into work one night and this guy on an R1 pulled up beside me at the lights and asked what the fuck do you have in that as he was trying to catch me up in city traffic, funny as fuck!! :ROFLMAO:

The SL is a feat of opulent engineering using the best materials it could, however it’ll never make me look back at it the way a D16 would.
It’s a few pinter whereas the Desmo is meet your parents league 🤣
 
Maybe it's because when the Desmo came out, I wasn't around bikes - I stopped all things enjoyable (well, almost all) when I got married and started having kids every few months). So it wasn't an object of my desires at that time.

Has anyone riden both?

@Robarano has a V2 Panigale R (Same engine as the V2 SL) and a Desi and I think his mate has a Desi and a V4 Superleggera :unsure:
