It has been widely reported that James Toseland is keen to ride for a competitive MotoGp team next year and it looks to me that a ride for Ducati replacing Capirossi (who has only managed about a third of the points Stoner has with the same bike) is the perfect place for him. Previous racing for Ducati should help his way in!:)

Didnt stop Ducati dumping him for the non event rider that is Lanzi.

Unless he gets a factory bike he'll be better off in supers, the D'antin team has been a backwater for every british rider to go there and while they are using similar bikes this, the first season of a new class,I'll expect the factory bikes to be very much stonger next year.
Also,I do think it'll have less to do with his proven abilities than the amount of sponsorship he could bring, unfortunately its more to do with money these days and on that front the Spanish have got us well beaten.

Toseland chance of a good GP seat could rest on him winning the WSB
championship for Honda, otherwise as Dave G points out he better of staying put than wasting time on some 2nd division year old bike.
I dont see Ducati having much time for him......hes NOT Italian !!
Though we could be suprised , with Roger Burnett working a deal anything is possible.

He'll stay on a Honda in my eyes, Ducati need to invest in a young MotoGP rider or get someone from the 250 class, sorry but JT in my eyes won't cut the mustard in the big class
