I have most of one of these as well, it had done 500 km and was abandoned in the bike shop after a small fire when the fuel tank leaked. It was used to get to work on a building site, so there are still some splashes of concrete to be removed from the frame.

Check the bracing groove in the top of the fuel tank, mine was split all the way across. The combined oil tank and battery warmer is made of the same plastic as the fuel tank and has rotted through, but that may be due to the climate here.

Wood Rotax in the USA have lots of go faster bits.

Thanks for the tank tip. I'll check it out (and yeah, I already have a price list from Ron Wood :-)

I'll see how I get on with it, but I do fancy doing something with it.

Santa arrived yesterday.. probably won't get an opportunity to play with it until later next week though.

i nearly bought one a couple of years ago, f650 engine is cheap/easy to service which is what tempted me but bodywork tends to get stress cracks :( there are a couple of kits that were supplied by the factory, twin disc for example. Its a bike i would consider again if i had time/space cash :)

Cheeky b*gger. I'm still nowhere near your record though - was it under a fortnight for your temporary custodianship of the Benelli? :eek: :D

So, anyway, Mr Burns... I have this lovely Bimota, it'll be for sale at the tail end of summer... (I'm only half joking :lol2:)
