monster mash?

( winter project approaching)

Hi all..trying to shed some weight off my wife's bike,it's a monster 600 dark.
Just wondering if the 600ss engine and rear swing arm would fit?

Or has anyone got any other ideas?

There were some alloy rising rate swing arms around, but I think when they came up they were snapped up by the Desmo Due racing crowd. What weight you will save I dont know, probably just as well going for a dump before ye go out!!! :lol2: You could probably modify the frame to take the ss swing arm though if you just want to build a special.
 
cheers for the info, i've decided to put a single exhaust system and end can, (if i can find one), leave the engine and swingarm, BUT!!!! what about swaping wheels? any ideas other than carbon ones!!!
 
Fit an aluminium swing arm off a 900 monster that's lighter.
I have a home made 2 into 1 header
The later monster battery is a fair bit lighter if you haven't got one already.

fit a tail tidy and lose all that plastic that the numberplate mounts on.

Bin yer tax disc holder :)

the 600ss has a 2 into 1 header. Mine is a Monster 2 into 2 with a plate welded over one of the pipes. it works. and unless your down on your hands an knees you don't see it.
