Mutistrada v R6

Went for a blast this aft. on my Multi and a mate on an R6. Round the bends he couldn't keep up and was lagging behind. Only on one long straight (naughty speeds but there was no other traffic - felt young again) did he overtake but I got him through the bends afterwards. Anyway we stopped for petrol and swapped bikes and lo and behold I couldn't catch him (we're covered on insurance to do that). Says a lot for the Multi. When we eventually changed back to our own bikes he said that he couldn't believe how well it pulled out of bends without changing gear. He added that if it weren't so ugly he'd have one ! Then we started talking about women !

I was down at Carricks Yamaha today getting my MOT.....very nice bunch of lads and I liked the way the didnt notice the Termi's ;) I love the look of these R6's and I had a wee nosey at the new R1........189 bhp....stock!!!

Got to admit if I was after a sportsbike for the track now I'd be tempted with an R1, don't see the need for a sportsbike on the road now TBH although it would be nice on a sunny Sunday afternoon to open one up somewhere :)

last r1 i ode was the 2004 model and i have to say i found it a bit bland, its just not got that v twin soul, the r6 from the same year i found your forever stamping up and down the gear box to keep it on the boil.
Both are really competent bikes but i wouldnt have one

I rode one of Berto's boys tricked R1 in Jerez and it was quick as hell and smooth as you like, but felt so flighty comared to the duke. was terrifying just how easy it was to go fast on it though :(

Saw a new R1 out today and they do look nice, i really like the black ones...

You're covered on your insurance to do what? Road race? Fill each others bikes with petrol?

I'm close to my neighbour Stuart, but the most we do is buy each other a coffee:( And my insurance doesn't cover me for that.

And as for the rest of you...........the force is weak. An R1???
