They missed the pansexual
Yep. And still got shed loads of power. Not keen on the clutchless semi-auto thingie though. The benefit of the vfr 1200 is the extra cc meant they left the vtec off so servicing and maintenance would be easier and cheaper
The VFR12 engine is a cracker, 170 hp out of the box, good scope for tuning and nice big fat torque curve, it is a little thirsty tho, but silky smooth. The benefit of the vfr 1200 is the extra cc meant they left the vtec off so servicing and maintenance would be easier and cheaper
The dct version is super smooth, never worked on a dct unit, so not sure about home maintenanceYep. And still got shed loads of power. Not keen on the clutchless semi-auto thingie though.
It's probably like most of these innovations: great until it goes wrong. I just prefer old-school clutched shifting myself. I don't even like QS's.The dct version is super smooth, never worked on a dct unit, so not sure about home maintenance
A mate of mine had a crosstourer.. he loved the thing especially the moped gear box he was heart broken getting rid of the thing but age and his back gave up on himThe VFR1200 is actually a very good bike but bloody hell it's ugly. Though admittedly not as ugly as what Aerial did with it.
It's a shame Honda never made a go of the 1200 Crosstourer using the same engine. An effortlessly gutsy and torquey V4 (as opposed to a revvy one) should make for an ideal big adventure tourer. The Honda V4 is bomb-proof mechanically and cheaper to run than a Ducati or Aprilia V4 but the Crosstourer was badly flawed. Monstrously top-heavy with such a wayward chassis they had to cut the power to 125 bhp because of pitching and weaving at speed. Pity they never got it right. It was a much better looking bike than the VFR
I do like that colour scheme, would love to build a CB1100R replicaI did see a vfr1200 that seemed to have the old cb1100R paint stle job

Custom Paint – 2010 Honda VFR1200 DCT
Honda didn’t sell nearly as many VFR1200s as they were hoping for, but here’s one that stands out thanks to a paint job inspired by the legendary VF1000R of the 80s.www.bike-urious.com
There are heavier bikes. The killer is that the weight is carried so high. I test rode one before buying my KTM 1190. I loved the power delivery and found it very comfortable. The screen even worked (a real bugbear with adventure bikes and one which put me off several candidates). But when paddling it about it felt like there was a sack of cement lying on top of the tank. The KTM is considerably taller but it feels about half the weight.A mate of mine had a crosstourer.. he loved the thing especially the moped gear box he was heart broken getting rid of the thing but age and his back gave up on himhe now realises the thing is what fooked his back because since getting rid of it for a 1200rs his back hasn't given him an ounce of trouble.. I think he said they are 270kg
