Side pedal on Pantah 500SL

[Mikefoxw]

Hi Guys,
Just got 1982 Pantah 500SL. It's got a wee fold out pedal/lever on the left side of the bike above and behind the footrest.Any idea what's its for ?to help get onto centre stand.
Seen lots of pictures of others that have it also. Only on left side though.
Marked "C" on picture
Cheers

.....to help get onto centre stand.

Yup t'is exactly was it's for.

The ST range had a similar handle attached the rear footpeg hanger.

The 907ie, and others in the Paso range, have one that's almost identical.

Mine was sawn off along with many other parts - it was bought to race in the Manx before I acquired it.
No doubt the source of many of its peculiarities.
