:flash::flash::flash::flash::flash:
thinking of having a serious look at a 748 under 2000 miles
but been stored since 2009 not touched just stored
it is not seized seems straight not bent
so i know it will need a full service belts fluids maybe tyres
was thinking of using ducati wolverhampton for the work as i can tinker but never done belts .
since it will turn over whats the worst it could be
is this a big gamble ?
any imput welcome:thumbs:
got him to drop 500 notes on price today really tempted now

Start it, don't rev it, should give you a good idea of condition, clutch disengaged, hands over exhausts listen for knocks.
If its been abused its usually obvious from the outside.

Yellow 748 was the best riding bike I've ever had the pleasure of owning, in traffic it murdered my wrists, burnt my ass!
But on good roads was special!

I bought my 748 from a guy who had stored in his garage for 4 years under a cover in a not so dry garage, with only one previous major service and 3800 miles. By the time I gave it a full service, tyres, chain, rebuilt the shock and a few other bits and bobs there was little change from £1000. In saying that, it was money well spent as it's a solid bike and a keeper! Make sure you get it for the right price, if its tidy and there are no cosmetic issues I'd recon its worth £2-2200 tops.

this maybe my third 748 ...just concerned about her sitting all alone untouched for over 4 years .
gonna talk to the md of ducati wolverhampton
don't mind spending a bit on her ....
why did i sell all my others always regretted it
but i have just spent out on finishing touches on my sexy nissan 300zx
and now my old cat 18 years of age is really on her last legs 8 tabs a day
and the vets bill for last month £420
would not spend that on the misses .......and she knows it
