TIGHTENING TORQUE FIGURES - Sport Classic
Check that the following safety items are at the correct torque:
Sprocket nut (186 Nm*)
Fork bottom bolt (19 Nm*)
Steering bearing ring nut (30 Nm*)
Swingarm pivot nut (75 Nm*)
Eccentric fastening screw on swingarm (31 Nm*)
Anti-rotation peg of calliper mounting plate (33 Nm*)
Rear brake calliper screw (25 Nm*)
Clamp to handlebar screw (20 Nm*)
Engine mounting bolt nut (60 Nm*)
Rear wheel nut, left and right (left 156 Nm*, right 177 Nm*)
Steering head screws (22 Nm*)
Steering base screws (22 Nm*)
Clamps to steering head screw (45 Nm*)
Rear shock and linkage to swingarm screw/nut (45 Nm*)
Rear shock to rocker arm screw (45 Nm*)
Torque arm to rocker arm screw (45 Nm*)
Suspension rocker arm to frame screw (45 Nm*)
Front wheel shaft nut (63 Nm*)
Retaining screw of drive pins on rear wheel (11 Nm*)
Rear chain sprocket nuts (48 Nm*)
Grab handle screw (10 Nm*)
Oil tube fitting on oil cooler (23 Nm)
Oil tube fitting on crankcase (23 Nm)
Front and rear brake calliper screw (front 43 Nm*, rear 25 Nm*)
Front and rear brake disc screw (25 Nm*)
(Tightening torque figures marked with * are critical for riding safety; allowed tolerance is +/- 5%)
