Touring !

Just spoke to the sales guy at "italsport" (in bury (anyone know it?) well he was saying to me that they've just come back from a trip round spain, germany & italy. He sais that many were on 749's, 999's, 1098's and other models. I was surprised to hear that one of them did it on a 749 and he was 50! Has anyone done a long trip like this on a 749/999 and found it ok and not crippling ?:dunno:

If you are worried about touring but still want fun on the twisties then I can recommend a Multistrada, all the way to Misano and back and still able to blast it up the passes in Switzerland . Whats more I could still walk afterwards . Most bikes you can tor on if you are determined enough. We had monsters and 15 year old SS,s with us. We all managed ok.

Steady on there with that "ageist" mularkey! I did a 750 mile two weeks ago on my 1098 and lived to tell the tale!

Can't speak too highly of them. Recommend them for all your needs, reasonable servicing costs, nice guys & friendly workshop dog.

Don't know personally about their sales side, but I can't see its ethos being any different than their workshops.

I've no connection other than giving them money when my bike needs their attention.

Touring on a 999

Sachsenring and back this July.....No problem on a 999

Well happy as I had put heat reflector under seat.

I went to Misano 04 on the 748 and back, with over 800 miles in one day with no problems and I have hit the big 5-0!
