How the bleeding hell do I remove the impellor out of the case? I'm going to soda blast the case over the weekend so would like to remove the bearings ! Thanks for any help

I’d suggest a few more details bike , model etc before someone suggest

It should just pull out. It sits in a mechanical seal in the left hand crankcase cover. If you’ve got the crankcase cover off, apply some penetrating lubricant spray (not WD40) and then gently tappity-tap-tap on the shaft from the inside.

If you’re soda blasting couldn’t you get away with masking it off

It would be a good idea to apply heat from a hot air gun to the crankcase cover area around the seal and impeller shaft, it will expand quicker than the shaft and loosen things up a little bit.

Bit of an update,just in case anybody else needs to remove there impellor,there is a tiny snap ring that fits on the drive side,it sits in a recess in the shaft on top of the washer,once removed the impellor pushes through easy
