What have you done on your bike today?

I used to cycle from Hitchin to Barton in the '60's it was a peaceful country lane with hardly any traffic.
We used to walk up to the spring in Barton it's a lovely walk.
I live about 8 miles from there now but occasionally still take the dogs there and walk up to the spring and then around the hills. It really is quite stunning.

Today after 5 hours of swearing, removing, cleaning, repairing and all the other ings, she lives!!!! My back hurts , my hands are cut to fuck but i'm happy, the Enfield is back. :) I said i was determined to get it running, i went through everything again and there was some shit in the injector so cleaned that out and then took the fuel pump out again and went through everything, gave it a good clean and put that back in the tank. I then put it all back together and she started first time, no matter how many times you get a bike going it still gives you a massive smile, love it. Anyway i went upstairs got ready to go for a blast then back to the garage and guess what, it started fucking raining, it's been dry all day ffs!! Nevermind, tomorrow is looking good and the rest of the week, i'm just so chuffed getting it going and the fact i don't have to pay anyone to fix it, win win!!(y)

Your RE wasn't working? You kept that quiet.

Why didn't you ask for advice?

Have you tried cleaning the pistons?
I'm going to give them a good clean and that leads to another problem, the blead nipple just will not move and i don't want to snap it off!! 🤷‍♂️

Pushrods need a bit of adjusting, easy job when i get round to it and it being air cooled that is a normal sound. (y) My 1801cc air cooled Indian was the same although the Indian pushrod tapping can be dialed out, i had a program for it that i was going to get the garage to set up but i sold it.🤷‍♂️
