Where is PerryL?

Thank you @Exige

I was well and truly out of it. To pass out at aroung 9pm and wake up at 1am with three policeman looking over you, does not particularly help! And how did they get it my new front door that is supposed to have all the approvals? Easy ,as they had a big feck-off ram, so just smashed out the lower pane! A police lady was left to try and sort out the mess.

I'll call the company who supplied the door to come round and finish off fixing it.

Been to the docs this morning and now have a piss sample sitting on my desk.

Need to go to chemist to get some covers for my grazed arm and give in my piss sample. It is a tough life!

Glad you're alive and well chief, thats the main thing. Get yourself sorted mucker! (y)

@PerryL Good to see you back on the forum. We may all take the piss but there was genuine concern for your wellbeing from the other members which I think speaks volumes.
As others have said since you reported your legs giving way, get yourself sorted and either let someone you trust have a key or install a key safe on the outside. If you have (another) ongoing medical problem it may be worth having someone text you regularly in case of further blackouts.
I/we look forward to reading more of your incisive 1 word reviews on bikes, equipment, films, plays , food , drink and now front doors and maybe in the near future key safes too .

That will teach you to leave such a worrying post and then disappear :ROFLMAO:

Good to know things are ok, as others have said it would be good to sort out a spare key and an emergency contact for the future. Living on your own can present difficulties sometimes as I found out when I broke my leg a few years ago and having one or two people to call on is no bad thing and could one day even be a life saver.

Knob

little lady who lived next door to me some years back, had a small dog and one day all i could hear was her dog barking constantly in the garden

went and tried knocking on the door but no answer, left it but it still went on overnight so called the police who got a ladder and climbed up to her bedroom window

she had taken a sleeping tablet and forgotten the dog was shut outside so all was well - apart from the shock of police looking though the window & being roused from a deep sleep but she was grateful someone was looking out for her

moral of the storey is - what would have happened if no one had come round until something smelled nasty o_O :p:eek:

Glad your good dude now get sorting yourself out and try to keep a lid on the drinking. Some advice coming from an alcoholic, i don't drink in the day only water or soft drinks etc and i start my first drink at 7pm or later, it works for me and in the morning a large mug of tea(my choice) followed by at least three pints of squash to flush the system and hydrate, my biggest failing is day time drinking although very rarely i will have a pint of Guinness in the day and that's it. See what works dude. (y)

Look after yourself pal the forum went to fuck only 50%of the normal posts without you 🙏

I am all willed up and my motorbike hating daughters get the lot, with some minor charitable donations to Institute for Cancer Research, as cancer has killed three on their mother's side, together with the Wildfowl and Wetland Trust at Slimbridge, where I still go. At migration time, the migrating birds fly right over my house saying ,"Goodbye, see you next summer"!

To be honest, I really don't give a toss as I will be toasted brown bread!

I took in my piss sample for analysis and now they have just phoned to get me back for blood sample and I will be called about going for an x-ray over the next couple of days

And I thought my hospital vesting was done, but I know nothing!

Just having a one-off collapse is hard o pin-down. I need to co-operate and collapse more often. My big, BIG, BIG worry is that the DVLC get wind and ban me again. Going through all that shit again would be truly awful. But I never knocked myself out, or lost consciousness, so I hope that all shit can be avoided,

Called up the Police, just now, as their is a door key hidden in my unlocked Summer House. They will have to try and find the key and hold back on the wrecking, but they probably enjoy a good house break!
