2010 BMW R1200GS - £4000

2010 BMW R1200GS in Alpine White.

I'm the 4th owner, having owned since 2022 and have done around 4000 miles on the bike.

It's got some nice extras included;
- Garmin Zumo 340 sat nav.
- Spot lights.
- Tall screen (standard also included in sale)
- Givi Tekker Dolomiti hard panniers (36ltr each).
- Givi tank bag.
- Kappa top box.
- Cylinder head protection.

Great condition all round and a great bike for touring and commuting. As you'd expect it'll munch the miles all day long but you can fairly hustle it along a back road too! Just had a full service by myself at the tail end of last year and had a new rear Michelin Road 6 last year too so it's ready for the season. MOT to November 2025.

Bad points; Front tyre will need changing in a few 100 miles and some engine paint flaking starting to show as is typical with these bikes.

Don't be put off by the mileage, the bike is in great condition for age and has been well looked after. It has full BMW service history up to 47,158 miles (including one in Ohio!) and since then has been looked after by either independent garages or owner serviced.

I'm based in Aberdeen but happy to deal over the phone and happy to deal with collection by courier.

£4000 ono takes it.

Cheers, I think it is but it's been up for a while and very little interest. Possibly the mileage 🤷‍♂️

That’s nothing for a boxer engine. @Robarano has a 1200, the beautiful Helga. I’m not sure of her mileage, he’ll tell us when he sees this.

About 35k now I think. Bought her during Covid around 2020 with 19k iirc 🤔 Barely run in 🥴

Totally agree, have always bought based on condition rather than mileage but it seems to be tough market at the moment.
Be interesting to see what my KTM 1190 fetches. It has 55K miles on the clock but all bar 2.5 of them done by me. I've never cossetted it when ridden but I have maintained it scrupulously. Knowing what I do about that bike (it's been faultlessly reliable) I wouldn't worry about mileage, within reason. I'd be looking carefully at the seller as much as the bike. That can tell you a lot about the bike you'd be buying.
