You'll probably have to. I've a mate who works solely on transits and he says the modern ones are shit...But my mate is a master tech at a Ford dealer, makes sense to utilise his and Fords skills etc.

Personally I would have just dragged the bandit behind it....I thought I needed a T5, I ended up buying this:-

I‘ve had a 1200 bandit and my newly acquired Triumph in the back.
I was rescuing him after someone misery riders had attempted to steal it from outside a Spearmint Rhino where he worked.Personally I would have just dragged the bandit behind it....
So is mine. When I asked him which model Transit to buy he saidBut my mate is a master tech at a Ford dealer, makes sense to utilise his and Fords skills etc.
All the free-lance delivery drivers round here drive Sprinters. So is mine. When I asked him which model Transit to buy he said
"A Sprinter"
Was that originally adapted for a wheelchair ? Or did you have it adapted. Bloody useful for getting bikes in/out.I thought I needed a T5, I ended up buying this:-

It is what they call a WAV (Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle). It has a lowered floor and a winch. This particular one took some finding, it’s a Caddy Maxi Life (its got an extra 40cm) There are dealers that specialise in this sort of thing, there’s one near Blackpool and a smaller one near Doncaster (Tickhill), I got this one privately, somewhere near Kings Lynn. its turned out to be one of the best and most useful vehicles I’ve ever owned. Was that originally adapted for a wheelchair ? There’s a saying around here, “You know what thought did”thought they only came in gas van blue.....?

I notice every time I see the AA attending to a van it seems to be a transit..You'll probably have to. I've a mate who works solely on transits and he says the modern ones are shit...
They do seem largely indestructible, and the longest high top is absolutely hugeAll the free-lance delivery drivers round here drive Sprinters.
We have just purchased a Vito crew van for work, it's 190bhp with the 7 speed auto, it's fantastic.Try a VW T5 or T6, well worth it but I could be biased.
Never heard of that, and I know of a few people with 200,000 + miles on them.I don't know about that every guy I know who has a sprinter has had an engine rebuild around 200-250 thousand kilometres with all them sourcing good recon engines in the UK?
That's often the case, the owner usually is a bigger influence than the vehicle itself.I know a couple of buddy's who bought recon motors in the UK then sent there knackered motors back in the crate to get there deposits back off course there's plenty who run well on past that but they are not without issues like all vans ! I ran a 2009 transit to 580000 kms and they were panned as the worst model at the time, biggest problem with a lot of transits are the animals driving them cheapest and lowest spec and towing mini diggers and can't understand engine and drivetrain issues![]()
I've been looking at them. It's just a standard Maxi with the wheelchair access? Can you put some more inside pics up please? It is what they call a WAV (Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle).
