What the feck have you done today?

Sitting in ED. My grand daughter told me off for playing with knives. Was Stanley knife with a brand new blade. Severed a tendon.
This little piggy had none, has gone into limp mode

Accident # 10078. Is that how many Accidents you have had? Are you related to wayne by chance? Looks ouch! Did it hurt more than that time you put the saber saw though your hand? You handled that pretty well but it looked painfull...

Lols, no it wasn't sore. I am not particularly accident prone but fate will send you to ED to humble you in front of people with proper problems. Like purple immobile leg guy. Intestinal agony babe. And screaming infant with scared mother. I just sat there hoping they were getting the attention they deserve. Me, I just had a bit of a stabby hole and a severed tendon. And I brought them both home with me. The consensus was to leave the droopy toe with it's 20% function , and don't be a big sooky about the hole in your foot. So, Jo bought me a donut on the way home, ate half of it and then fucked off and left me exhausted and starving in front of the telly. Well, not starving really, I could probably go a day or two on stored body fat before things got antsy.
I was lucky with the sabre saw hole. I think all that plasterboard dust really helped.

Thought for Today

Tried to sharpen my Denby kitchen knife on a Lansky.

It's ok. Better than it was but not as shave sharp as I'd like. Works great on my smaller knives but I don't think it's really suitable for a blade of this size.
Have put my Japanese water stones in to soak and will have a go with those later. Hope I don't make it worse..

Spent the weekend rewiring most of the lights in the kitchen and adding some....went from old swtichy off and on to smarty pants ones....quite pleased with myself as its all actually working....the only down side is im using an aftermarket server to control them as ive got smart stuff from about 10 different manufacturers (or something like that) so it all seems to be hanging together!!

I always feel guilty about putting our staffy in kennels, (twice this year so far), so I try to take her away to the UK with me and Elsie once in a while.

Today, I've booked us into a Northallerton Hotel for 3 nights in July, so we can have trips to Whitby, Ripon, Thirsk and Richmond.

When you consider the hotel charges £15 per night for the dog, that's the same price as the kennels.
