One of the biggest problems with living on an island is other people.

No matter how many signs you put up or how many locals know it is a private island, any Guinness with a boat or dinghy seems to think they have a right to land "just to have a look around the island"

If only... I did look at a little house in a out of the way spot near Roadhead three or four years ago. Ruled it out in the end. A neighbouring property looked distinctly pikeyish and there was a small burn right next to the house that raised flooding concerns. That whole part of Cumbria is dodgy for flooding. You have to check the history with care.
