I know what your saying, I thought about one for mine, now i think ill stick to the standard, could you maybe paint it yellow but leave the side bits carbon if you know what i mean?

Looks fecking good tho, lick of red paint wouldn't go a miss mind  any pics / detail on the fuel cap, the standard one is mighty fugly...

Yep...thats it done, no more. I got the idea from a 996 in I saw in Alvins some 4 years ago that was for sale. It was pretty much something along the lines of mine but somehow I will always remember that bike. It was gorgeous. It caught my eye every time I saw it, I really wish I had taken some photos of it. :(

Jurys out the now I think.....got the fuel cap from here and they mark it as gift :)

Looking mega smart Davie!
I would leave the carbon mudguard if it was mine.
I like yellow Dukes providing they are not all yellow. Think carbon and/or black wheels (providing you don't go over the score) can be much more striking than a plain red bike.
Not everyone would agree but then I thought the 848 in white in DG is pretty smart and preferred it to the red.

hey davie,

I think you have done a great job mate and I would definitely leave the front carbon mudguard black...makes it look kind of mean....if you know what I mean:confused:
The swingarm also makes a big improvement..nice!

I'll leave the thing on for now and see how I feel later. I just think its maybe that bit too much......

Anyway, the yellow one has a small mark on it after WDW. I compressed the front springs too much when it was on the trailer coming back from Newcastle to my house. :o

IIRC the mark was @@@@ all till you tried painting it!

Davie, got a set of clear front indicators going cheap if your interested, only on the bike a month then I changed the mirrors!!! :comp2:

A neat, discreet yellow pinstripe on the front guard would probably do the trick Davie or a yellow-to-black fading transition paint job. Think you need the black definitely, but a hint of yellow somewhere on the guard would really finish it off.
