set of fitted leathers

thinking of splashing out on a set of made-to-measure leathers - anyone know of anywhere in Scotland/NE England where i can get measured up or whatever..?
 
Scott Leathers also.

Got measured for a set at IOM last year. They are an excellent fit and quality.

Did you have to wear them for a while before they felt comfy?

How long from measurement to delivery?
 
Caveman, again Scott leathers. BUT, I have to say I bought an Arlen Ness Evolution suit last year... Kangaroo. I had real moral issues wearing "skippy"... watched him as a kid :cry:

Anyway, my point is they fit better than perfect and by far are the best leathers EVER. If memory serves about £800 too. The only thing is the huge 'kin tail gets caught in the back wheel...

Just a thought, although I have to say I do fancy the Stoner Rep leathers than Scott do.

They were a bit tight to get on, but once on they were ok. After maybe a couple of afternoons runs on the bike, they loosened off a bit, but not much more. (Think eating less pies might help, but the will power is weak). You can certainly tell they are a custom fit, as the shoulder area and the hip area are a snug fit.

When i ordered them, i was given 2 options.
1. Payment in full on the day i was measured and i would get them in 6 weeks.
2. Pay a deposit and then pay for them prior to delivery would be 12 weeks.
I paid them on the day, and got them 7 weeks later, so was happy with the service.

I have an Alpinestars 2 piece leather, and a 1 piece top of the range Dainese set of leathers (T-Bora).
The leather used on the Scott is good quality, but the leather on my Dainese is better, but the Dainese was twice the price.

The fit of the Scott is far superiour, no saggy arse. Has full CE armour, and a Knox inbuilt back protector.
I paid 675 quid for the Scott. This was a custom made suit, which i picked the colour combinations, and added a Scotland flag to the hump. This was 200 quid cheaper than my mate who ordered a custom fit suit, in his own colour combination, so i think it was a special price for ordering at the TT.

TBH it actually looks as though Custom Scott leathers will be the same price if not cheaper than Arlen Ness :confused::confused: no brainer really.

You couln't groan me for the "Skippy Tail". :D
 
They seem really friendly on the phone, anyway. My folks live about 30 miles from Scott Leathers, so provisionally going in for a fitting next week..
said they'd done quite well out of the TT this year, so a bit longer than standard turnaround, looking about £900 for the made-to-measure superbike suit...
