Hi Debbie,
I bought it last year from hightower (used to be on this forum) on the 11th May. Traded it in in November to Edinburgh HD for the monster I currently have.
It was/is immaculate and never missed a beat. It was fully serviced and did not want for anything. (don't know where that screen came from that's in your picture. I bought it as you've bought it.
I did fit new fairings and stuff as in the pics below to keep the yellow OEM fairings good. The only problem with this model (2002) is that it has 749 headers making exhaust options difficult.
The termignoni exhausts and upgraded EPROM should be fitted. You should have a box of parts with the OEM exhausts, clutch cover, Haynes manual, chain guard and some other bits and bobs.

Anything else let me know.

Thank you John. Apparently another guy did buy it from Harley Davidson prior to me, but when he took it home, his wife hit the roof and he was given the ultimatum...Bike or Me!! The bike was duely returned back to them, before I came along.

The battery was flat when they tried to start it, so the bike had to get a boost to bring it back to life. I didn't take it out onto the road for a test ride, as I had no intention of buying another bike. It was my better half who was in the market for a new machine (V-Rod Muscle...which he bought). We were actually on our way down to the Spring Cup meeting at Scarborough, so stopping in Edinburgh proved to me a very expensive day!!

The bike itself, as you rightly pointed out, is immaculate and you can tell that it has been well cared for. Future plans for it?? The screen will need to go, and the plate will be changed to a private one, but that's about it. The right amount of modifications are already on the machine, so I've no need to mess around with it too much.

If I have any other queries, I'll be in touch.

Thank you again for the info

HI Debbie,
that screen must have been added by the interim owner! i had the OEM clear one on when i sold it.
The bike started first time every time when i had it and i never had a charger on it.
One mod you may do is billet levers. i found the newer ones with more adjustment were better especially for the clutch. but you can pick these up cheap off fleabay.
Just remember unlike the 916/996/998 the 748 likes to be revved to get the best out of it:rolleyes:
By the way i loved the bike just that it only made sense on our roads at illegal speeds as thats when the weight comes off your wrists or i would still have it.
Anything else just ask.
Cheers John :)

Thanks...Had it out every night since I got her...My poor Panigale has been left languishing under it's dust covers since the Scottish Bike Show!! The 899 will make the trip to the NW200 and the TT (Just praying to the Sun God!!)
