Who wants some more pics?
Not many, just a few of the beach that was local to me ( one of many many but our favourite as ya could drive ya car up it) it was about 20 mins drive from where I lived.
The lil beach is moari Bay (not a bad surfing spot) which is separated from murawai beach (the long one, 26 miles long) by flat rock ( where you can see some folk fishing) .
There is also quite a large gannet colony.
Its a pretty place with black sand beaches which are way to hot to walk on with bare feet.
Its also a very dangerous beach ( like alot of the west coast) .. watched a friend drown out there many years ago..
Right up the far end off murawai is the kaipara harbor, which i posted pics of us fishing at the other week, but that was on the north side looking south, these pics are looking north...
At the e d of the beach used to be the bombing range, its got massive sand dunes. You could go nuts on ya mx bike there..
There is thousands of hectares of forest as well which is full of deer so we were never short of venison..
