Just been on the news again, and the other day I had an email asking to enter my reg to check if I could claim from one of these no win no fee parasites, it came back that a claim was available on my 2016 Vivaro Van.

Question: has anyone claimed and how do you claim without giving loads of the pay out away to these companies?

Also my van was new but pre registered so would that affect a claim 👀

I’ve a claim being processed as part of the VW diesel scandal.
I have done it via a company as I can’t be fecked to do it myself, if I get a couple of k at the end of it I’ll be happy, I get they’ll take a high percentage but it’s money I wasn’t expecting so a win for me.

A mate did that for PPI and they took a few thousand 💰 I did mine online and it took the same amount of time form filling - I did it in the office at the time while being paid and saved loads :). I wondered if there would be a similar route for this too

I did my own PPi, this is different as they are not mandated to pay, you are attempting a claim against them and its not guaranteed. with PPI the banks were told to put xx in a pot so it could be paid out.
Think the firm im with is 20%, I’m ok with that.

Suggests you will likely not be able to sue as an individual.

I’ve gone with this lot as they have the largest number of participants, figure the larger the number the less percentage they will take over firms with low sign ups.

I’ve a claim in on a vehicle I purchased new. My neighbour also has submitted a claim on the same brand car, but his was a second hand purchase.

Did you get anywhere with this

As above - did you or your neighbour get anywhere with your claims?
