Today's the day!

Finally!

Well, after my 999r went to the big service centre in the sky I've been Ducati-less since last May :(

A couple of panzers have kept me on two wheels, at least, but all they've done is prove to me where my heart is.

So finally, after an absence for just over a year, I will again put a Ducati in my garage later today, in the shape of a Hypermotard S.

I feel like I've found my way home!

Fingers crossed the met office predictions for today come true.

:whoohoo: .... bet you cannae wait :D

good news is that the rain has stopped over here and it is supposed to dry up later so have fun Scott.

Looking forward to Sunday and catching up with everyone again :)

Thanks mate, warm here but a wee bit damp - as the forecast predicted.

Stuck in the office until 11-ish, then off to Dundee :(

At least it'll give the met-office a chance

nice one! I look forward to reading your 1st impressions as this is the only Ducati at the moment I would consider swopping the monster for:)

It's about time, I was about to delete your number from my phone with all these Panzers and nothing Italian and red in the garage!

have fun mate, bet your giddy eh?

Claire took one out for a spin yesterday down at JHP and loved it

so what's your eta and etd for DG then ?

No real idea yet :(

Currently stuck in the office, I expected to be on my way 25mins ago to Dundee!

It's all in the laps of the gods right now. I think it'd be fair to say I won't be out of here for at least another 35mins, then probably an hour getting to and mucking around in Dundee, then we'll see what happens

If I'm lucky, maybe in DG for 2ish?

Man what I'd give for just a wee bit of what you must be feeling right now :D

We want photees mind

Already had a wee trundle on the DG demo before it got launched at Knockhill.

What an absolute giggle of a thing, as grunty as a pig lorry, far too much brakes, relatively light, good suspenders, mirrors that work (although I would concede they make the bike WIDE when they're both folded out) and a fairly bizarre seating position for the first 15minutes.

I can't put into words just how much fun I had though, and it was the final nail in my BMW coffin.

Bit of a stretch to get up on the saddle, but no worse than my old GS.

Fuel economy / tank range are it's only achilles heel, but if you wanna go touring you buy a Multi.

Remember, there's always been a red italian thing in my livingroom ;)

Getting giddy now mate, like I said - it's like I've found my way home

So, the million $$$ question is not if, but WHEN are you guys getting yours?

Hint of jealousy...here....

Hissing down on South side of Glasgow at moment....

Forecast is better for the afternoon...

Take care and enjoy ........

Just had a look and it's quite a bit of a higher seat (845) than the Monster (770) and could be a problem for me as getting on and off is a bit tricky at times:eek:

Not this year fella, too much £££ been spent this year on bikes, this whole DD thing is breaking the bank as we've discussed I/we need some sponsorship to fund the smaller things involved

Cheers fella, hope you threw some stickers in too

I'll send you a Ghostbusters logo eh for the HM? :D

I'm in Glasgow West End, about 2 miles from DG. Rain stopped, cloud just beginning to break up.

Not long home.

Cider poured.

Davie here.

Ride home hot and dry.

Bike great.

Still smiling.

Brakes huge!

Happy as a dog with 2 whangers :D

So let's get this straight..... you're on the cider already, probably on the way to being pished? New bike sitting there in all it's glory and guess who happens to be there... DAVIE!!!

Mate lock the bike up quick before you're too pished to notice and if you're not careful he'll have your 2nd whanger away too!!!!

Great stuff Scott ............ see you Sunday - when the tyres will no doubt be well scrubbed by then ;)
