I have a 916SP, never plan to sell it, but I thought I may get a classic insurance on it. More importantly an agreed value insurance so if it gets nicked I get it's true, full and proper value.

So..... What is it worth? With only a few hundred made each year for two years I never see them for sale and have no idea.

What do you think?

Bit new for me but I would think £6'ish if tidy.
Perhaps put in at £7500 for a classic agreed value policy to cover increases in next 12 months?
Early Stradas firming up and the SP should be more but as you say not many coming up to get a feel for them.

Thanks for your thoughts, very helpful. I will check out classic bike insurance for it around the £7500 mark then. Ducati UK confirmed today that the chassis no. was an SP. Good news.

If you are getting classic bike "agreed value" quotations the difference in premium between say £5k and £7.5k will be minimal.
Some may ask for evidence of value (in addition to a couple of photographs) but they will usually accept the signature of a club official or a dealer to confirm your valuation. (some may even just ask you to confirm it)
