Asphalt and Rubber is reporting that Ducati will likely bump the Monster 821 displacement up to 939 or thereabouts for 2017 and add an 803 air cooled engine to the line up, which is of course the engine currently in the Scrambler, and sort of ironically the engine previously seen in, you guessed it, a Monster (796). The new Monster will almost certainly have less power than the old 796 though because of the smaller cam shafts fitted to the 803 engine currently in the Scrambler due to newer emissions regulations.
