848 pulling to the left. Fitting an OEM steering damper

I've just bought an 848 after selling my 749s. Firstly after riding her for the first time I noticed that when I take both hands off the bars it pulls to the left but only slightly. Has anyone had the same problem with theirs?

Also I'm fitting a OEM steering damper, is this easy to do?

Any feedback would be great.

Cheers

Cris.

Don't take your hands off the bars. Problem solved.

Ten minutes to fit the damper, two allen keys needed.

Next?

Cheaper and quicker service than your average Ducati dealer. Ten quid via paypal will do. :)

prob the camber of the road thats causing that...
altho you could have a slightly sticky caliper or a duff wheel bearing ..
but prob camber of the road

Thanks for the feedback.

It's definitely not the camber. I've seen a few posts on other Ducati forums regarding the 848 and 1098 pulling to the left.

Just wondered if anyone on here had the same problem?

Cheers.

Ride on the other side of the road then and see if it pulls right. Serious reply. Empty roads are preferred. :)

Or it could be that the tyre pressures are different from one side to the other.

Over tightened or faulty head bearings, Steering stem nut needing adjusting ? . with the bike on its side stand, lift the front wheel of the ground, turn the handle bars from side to side, there should be an ever so slight drag in the steering, not a lot but something,If you can swing your steering and if flops violently against the stop its too loose,,

I will give that a try this evening. I'm hoping it's a simple fix.

I've heard it could be a simple issue with suspension, steering head, or tyre needing balanced.

If need be a trip to ERS will surely resolve the matter.

Cheers for the feedback.
