Not my bike, I'm posting this on behalf of a friend, I should add that I have known this bike for the last 14 years or so and it is as good as you will get. If anyone has any queries please PM me and I'll put you in touch with the owner.
From the current owner :
1995 Ducati 900 Superlight IV, three former keepers. As far as I can tell it is totally original, except for some stainless braided hose and a few stainless fasteners. It’s just turned 18300 miles and is MOT’d until 16/08/23
Engine rebuilt in Dec 2021 to replace noisy layshaft bearing - both bearings replaced, crank and gearbox shimmed as required, new valve guide seals, valve clearances done, various seals etc. as required. All work done by Ducati specialist Tyler Lunceford at North Motorcycle in Edinburgh, with supporting note showing breakdown of work and receipt.
Fully serviced when recommissioned in June 2022 at 17818 miles including belts, filters, plugs, fluids, brake pads, throttle cables etc. I fitted a pair of new Bridgestone Battlax tyres when I bought it in August. It’s just had an oil and filter change – Shell Advance fully synthetic – and it’s good to go, it needs nothing.
It’s in lovely original order as far as I can see, as with all 27 year old original machines it does have a few signs of age and wear but nothing dramatic.
I’m looking for £6950 but open to near offers from serious parties. Bike is in Montrose, Scotland, and is pictured on the SL register website by its previous owner. I’ve had my wee fling and it’s a great bike but I’m too long in the leg and my muscles can’t cope with it over any distance so I’m going to stick with my older upright classics, nothing more to it than that.
