916 or 996?

I like to go up through Ripon to Leyburn then Richmond, A66, Barnard Castle, Teesdale, Weardale to Alston (fuel here) then Hartside and come back down via Penrith, Shap, Devil's, Skipton (or Hawes) to home. Both are good runs about 90 minutes each way (maybe:D) on cracking roads.

We may be Whitby way wit' kids, but if not, & it's sunny with dry roads, & I'm
allowed out with those rough boys, I'd love to.
