Well this afternoon I had my first experience of coming off a bike :( :o

I was coming down a steep hill, with a 90 degree (ish :p ) right hander at the bottom…covered (ish :p ) with grit and small stones…woosh…off into the verge.

Fortunately it was all soft and mossy…a bit like the tit who’d just landed in it :jerkoff:

I thought the only damage was the mangled bar end mirror, but once on the road again I noticed that my left arm was significantly higher than the right!

Guess that was because of this…

sorry to hear eonan :( :( , But look on the brightside its only the bike thats damaged and there easy enough to fix .

Easy thing to fall foul of, Eonan, sorry 'bout your off. Glad you are OK tho!
I'm sure eBay will be your friend for this.

Ach Niall what a scunner!:(
At least your alright and I hope you get the bike sorted soon.
Is that you screwed for Sunday too? If you need a lift I could get you on the pillion. I suppose you have a car to resort to, not the same for going to a race meeting though.

Hey thanks for the replys...I wasn't going to post this, as I feel a bit of tube to say the least :o

Derek...Stuart (Spareshack) had a set of clip-ons come in today for another customer, and has very, very kindly offered to send them up…I did ask him to ask the other customer first though, so I guess it's the other customer I owe the big thanks to...thanks whoever you are

Hopefully they’ll get here tomorrow, hopefully they'll fit and hopefully I'll be meeting you at the road end (on the bike) on Sunday morning :)

 Ahh nooo! sorry to hear this, glad the damage is just to the bike and only minimal at that! Hey, you say you feel a tube, at least you were riding yours when you crashed it:o

This is exactly why we need more than one bike, or as suggested on another thread more than one woman...right now I'd either be out riding the other bike, or in riding the other erm...Either way this current situation would be dramatically improved

I got another bike but it handles like a greasy pig, think i'll put me bikini on and burn me body in't garden :eek: :p

hope youve got the bikini with the extra wide gusset, or else there`l be spill out, which could lead to some nasty burning:flame2: :flame2:

Niall,
If you're stuck I have a pair of 50mm clip-ons you can borrow. You'll need to get to me before 7.00 tonight though. Or I can bring them to you if you can call me before 4.00. Wish I'd read this earlier.
I will PM you my phone numbers.

Tough luck Eonan. At least you had a softish landing, and off the road. I tend to fall off in the middle of roads myself. Could you use half a brake lever...?

Well good old Parcelforce…last month they loose my belt covers sent from Jacksons in Kelty (still lost!), and today they fail to deliver a guaranteed Saturday delivery :jerkoff:

But…thanks to Derek :hail: , Cinders shall be riding to the ball after all. Many, many thanks mate for helping me out…looking forward to meeting you properly tomorrow :)

Nightmare Eonan, hope u get the bike mended soon, good to see your not needing anything mending in yourself.

Rob
