My 916 is fitted with a spyball 810gb, or I think thats what it is, the trouble is I only have one key fob and its knackered, I have bought a new key fob but dont know how to introduce it to the alarm ( yes I can see the jokes now, hello mr alarm I am a key fob ect..)
If any one knows it would be most appreciated.
Cheers

Cheers, I have found the workshop manual an the net including the wireing diagram, but the buggers in dutch :)
Apparently there are 2 wires you put together wich shorts the system so you can introduce a new key??
I know there is a random wire hanging down somewhere but I would hate to start messig with anything!!
I rang my local spyball installer in carlisle and he didn't really know what I was on about, as it was that long since they had fitted a spyball.
Cheers anyways!!

James - I originally posted a simple solution on here, but then thought better of doing so on a public forum..! Instead, I've now posted you a PM. Check your messages.

very interesting, i might disconnect mine as flattens the battery too quick for my liking, saying that, its a Meta system alarm / immobiliser. would it be as simple to disconnect?

Don't ask me about alarms and zappers - but I can let you into the secret that the Ladies at the Bowness ferry place has a very efficient hand drier that sorts out damp batteries like a charm!

Right I got it sorted , the new key fob was working like a dream, then I stopped to see a friend, and behold, the new key fob was not working - hurrah!!
It seem's to only happen when the bike is hot so I presume the position of the alarm (above the engine) isn't such a great place.
I am going to take it off I think.

Above the engine????

They're usually under the seat unit on 748-998 bikes, usually where the tool tray sits
