Anyone noticed recently how many new members don't fill in any of their details on the form. Seems strange to me. Unless they're all southerners, sneaking in for a quick look. :D

I have noticed that and if they put where they lived the members that lived nearer could easily establish a bit of mateyness (is there such a word) and you wouldn't feel like strangers when you meet for a social or ride-out. What you ride doesn't matter as long as it's a Ducati first and Italian second and German and Steves XJR a close third!

I am really sorry Steve I know how attached you are to it and it just went clean outta my head! Monsters home but in the yard!

I'm a new member and I must admit it took me some time to post any details as I found it slightly complicated. I'm still not sure how to post as there seems to be a variety of methods and not all new messages seem to come up on, 'new posts'. Any advice on posting gladly recieved.

When you click on forum you have a variety of sections and you click on the section that is close to what you want to post. Then click on 'new post' and put a title in the top box and in the big box put what you want to say.

Click on new posts when you return and you will only see the new stuff since your last visit. There will now be loads of hints by everybody else! ;)

If you go to the bottom of the forum page you can find out who is on now and further down who has visited today and at the bottom who has spent too long on here!

seems fair enough, it's that long since I joined I may have missed something. Reply to any post by clicking on the reply button, but you've done that anyway. to find the most recent postings on any topic, click "quick links" top right and first option down is "today". that will bring up most stuff. if you want to keep an eye on a thread that may be of long term interest just "subscribe" to it. see you around, where are you based anyway?

also go to "user settings" top left, click on that and you will get to your "edit options" - get in there and add whatever details you like; bike, interests, location, personal phone number, inside leg measurement (oops got carried away with the last two but you know what I mean when you have a look) :D

Thanks again.
I'm based in Ayrshire. I've managed to put a marker on the map. My local Ducati haven is Ducati Glasgow. I've been in lots of bike shops etc over the years but Ducatu Glasgow must be one of the best. It's like visiting your favourite Aunties every time you go. Great atmosphere, great coffee, great bikes, great chat and wonderful staff and they have a magical extra ingredient, Martin's mum, a special lady.

smart i'll try to remember that cable too :smash:

The Pioneer 5.1 Amp does not finish for about 4 days and then there will be the intolerable wait for it to come!, I have to pay direct to his bank and i don't think I have got that facility set up with my bank. When the rear speakers come I might have a go at fitting them up  or maybe not!

I think you have a suspicious mind! :D
Like MBG I did not find it that easy to work out which box related to what on your personal description. In my case it is old age and not being familiar with computer speak/text speak and forums. I only just worked out what an Avatar was the other day!! Maybe I'm just too old for forums:o
Not getting rid of my bikes yet though :)

If you click on your name on this page and then on user settings on the left side the drop down box lists a lot of things on here. You can click on just about anything on the site and something will be revealed that may be useful if you click on FAQ most things will be answered.

Cheers Steve. If I can kidnap my grandson I'll get him to do it for me :comp2:

nah! It's quite easy really! The hardest thing is to find a suitable picture for an avatar and make it smaller to fit! I know nowt about computers and I managed it, tho I did have to get B&P to help me make the pictures smaller.;)
Another thing if you click on 'new posts' you can keep up with threads you have been reading when you come back to the site.
