Anyone else have this problem!

bought a new Ducati jacket a couple of months ago just before I crashed my bike.
Since getting my bike back and feeling confident enough to give it a bit of welly I have noticed that the shoulders seem to "scrunch up" and catch the wind. It only happens when I go over 95! (private road).
I thought it was because the bike had an original screen fitted when it was getting repaired so bought a double bubble screen but it is still happening.
It is bad enough to force me to slow down.
If I crouch more so that I am flat on the tank and most of my head is behind the screen it starts flapping at the back near the collar!
I had an Arlen Ness Jacket previously and had no problems. The jacket fits me properly across the chest etc and a smaller size would be too tight.
Any thoughts? apart from stop driving over 95!!!

uimm i have this on some recently purchaced (and now for sale ) leathers

i presume its the cut/fit of the garment to be honnest, annoying to say the least

Buy a better quality jacket, wind tunnel tested ;)

Maybe the jacket is trying to save your licence for you

Did you read the label before you ripped it off? The one that said 'not for track use' :)

Seems bizarre, I have a few Ducati jackets and find them to be perfect... never go as slow as 95 though, so couldn't comment :D I do find the Ducati leathers (full) to be hopeless though. The get them to fit in leg and arm, you end up looking like the Michelin man - designed for some wee, 9st Italian no doubt. Your jacket though, could you not have put that through as battle damage with the accident ??? Only if it was damaged of course, I would never ever promote insurance fraud... goodness, you must have picked me up wrong

If they still smell like new, look like new and you can get the tags back on try taking them back and changing them? I have always bought leathers that are on the smaller side of cumfy as they tend to stretch a bit.

I wondered if I tried a back protector if it would maybe "take up the slack" so to speak.
Anybody got one that i could try?

Good idea! maybe it is intended to wear with a back protector as there maybe a pocket to take one. I use a Knox stowaway with my jacket and my Scott leathers has a Knox bp built in that they very kindly gave me when I sent them back to the factory to have some panels replaced. Go for the smaller one (if you are unsure and you can't get to try one) if you buy it mail order. I bought mine, a small one and it was £9.99 + p/p and it was brand new with tags still on!

BOB - just admit it, you've got a weird body shape :D :D :D Don't blame the jacket.;)

Hi, I have a knox back protector you can try ..... might not be the exact size for you but it will give an idea if it's going to make a difference or not. Im in Stra'ven if you're passing any time???

I've sussed it folks... for jackets that are too baggy or don't fit, McDonalds do a "fix"... it's called a Big Mac Extra Value Meal !!! :D :D :D

ugh! all that fat and e-numbers.................well I suppose in an emergency

it could be the only way to carry it home!
