Well, if its as nice as it was today I'll probably be out on the numpty, is anyone else out to play?? So Hawes?, Hawick? peebles?? anyone??
 
Mikey I will be decorating, so if you fancy a trip down here feel free, will be at Godsons birhday party 11-2 well it may be 12-1 if I can get away with it, let me know, only Gold Blend though, or I can meet you at Costa !
 
there was a massive dumping of Salt last night & tonight, im gonna wait till it all clears AGAIN. :(

Michael, I sent you a text earlier re a run out tomorrow. Am hoping to get out at some time. Was initially planning to go on the Multistrada but took the 996r out for half an hour to put some fresh fuel in it etc so may get that out instead. It was Alices second birthday today or I would have taken advantage of the weather this afternoon. We had a bit of a party for her and after 4 hours of screaming kids etc I had to get out on the bike. (Also wanted to get out of tidying the house after the party!)

Intending to get up to Hawes for breakfast, so will meet up wherever? Devils? Kirkby Stephen? Settle? Give me a shout anytime. Much to my shame I have not ridden since we met up last time (Oct? Nov?) been to busy. Must ride bike more!
 
Well meet me in Kendal for a brew, my bike still at Leeds or I would have been out, either at mine, very easy to find, or Costas for the craic !

Ah, text, yes, er, I hardly have my mobile switched on these days Martin :(

Sounds like you need to get out after today, there's a lot of grit still on the roads up here so maybe multi is best, you'll spend hours cleaning that R otherwise :D :D could met you at Kirkby Stephen for breakie then head out over to Barnard Castle maybe meet Scotty there then up to Hartside where we can go our own ways??

if you go into the town, down the hill as though you were heading towards A66 and the road turns left towards the clock tower thing, before the roads goes left, almost straight ahead there is a cafe, its usually full of cyclists. From Barny we can take the road to Middleton then Hartside, hopefully it won't be snow covered :eek: Just need to sort times with Martin....
 
Michael, I will check on here first thing. What time you thinking of? Probably about 90 minutes ride to K stephen if I go via Hawes and have a brew. Roads were clear and dry here today which got me all excited, will bring my tools so I can nick your heated grips while your not looking! Maybe will bring Multi as I am not too fit at the moment and 300 back rd miles will hurt on the 996! Not too keen on the rear tyre on the Multi though. Decisions.

Thanks for mobile no Ian, I do have it already somewhere so you never know if I'm late up I just may nip up to Kendal!
 
its frosty here now so i'd prefer to leave it to how about we say 12 o clock at that cafe in Barnard Castle if Scotty is gong to make it?? you can go Leyburn, Richmond way but it might take a bit longer. if Scotty isn't out I'll meet you at Hawes.

Those heated grips are welded onto the bars. I'll be taking it steady given the amount of frost, Middleton road could be icy so i wouldn't worry too much about your rear tyre :D

ok, 12 it is, do you know the cafe I mean Martin?? its on your left after you come up from the bridge, go past the clock tower thing and into the main street.
 
No its many years since I been to Barnard (Scott leathers?) I assume the directions youi have given are coming in from Brough? I will probably miss Hawes and just go to Devils, Sedburgh, K Stephen brough. Prob take me a couple of hours as I will make my usual winter stop at Cave and Crag in Settle to purchase some of those silk inner gloves to keep me hands warm! Am hoping everything will be ok as I am covering service for work but I might be able to talk my mate into doing it for me. Will say 12 at Barnard then. Will you have your mobile just in case?

i can meet you at Kirkby Stephen, do you know any cafes there???? and then go over A66, should be good for a photo on top of there today
 
Yes theres a Cafe on your left if your coming from the north (brough etc) its opposite a pub. plenty of parking outside. Am hoping to set off at 10 (Brrrrrr) so would be there about 11.30? Is that too late?
 
Just remembered theres a new bike shop near me thats open Sundays so I might be able to get some winter gloves. It will take me about 45 mins to Devils and 35 from there to K stephen?
 
sounds about right, see you at kirkby about 11?, i'll park bike in the main square and find a cafe close by.
