Back protectors

Considering getting the Dainese gilet wave 2 back protector. Dainese produce two versions one with neck protection or not. It’s the neck protection version I was looking at. I’ve searched the net in an effort to obtain more info to assist me with my decision but have come up blank.

Has anyone heard anything bad about the Daineses neck protection system?
What back protector would you recommend?

Thanks Alan

Never seen the dainese before.
I'm using a knox sport which can get quite hot in summer. Not sure how it feels with the sit up bike I now have but the knox do differing profiles to suit different bike styles.

Thanks for your comments.
Managed to find one in a local dealer today, personally I found the neck protection part to be a pain in the neck. :sorry: couldn't resist.
On a positive note the back protector felt as if it was held in place better compared to just straps.

KNOX contour for me and I know Freak and Lily wear the KNOX contour Race - also I went with KNOX as they are based in Cumbria !

Straps are crap if you have them placed as you would a pair of braces.
But if you cross the straps across your chest - as a ladeeeeey would with a (snigger, fnar, fnar) bra - then the back protector stays well put in place.

I sell and use the Forcefield Body Armour back pro stuff, for both MTB's and mo'bikes. Great stuff, comfy, best impact ratings, gold awards, and recommendeds from "Ride" mag. Check it out, they have a website.

Knox stowaway with jacket and there is a Knox custom fitted in the Scott 1 piece, wouldn't ride without one now:)

Since back to biking a year or so ago I've used a Forcefield ( like wot mrrockjock sells). Great reviews, light, moulds to your back as it warms up and snuggy too. Would feel wrong to ride without it now.

I've got some super dooper Knox jobbie too, it's great. got it from another DuN member good on 'im. Swear by it (not that I've had to test it yet) :)
