Please note, batteries stored for long periods of time will run flat and will no longer
reach proper charging voltage required to operate properly. It is therefore
imperative that during PDI, or during battery replacement, to follow the proper
battery charging procedure.
Important charging procedure reminder:
• Allow at least 1 hour after adding acid, before proceeding with the first
charge
• Set cap on the battery but do not install it
during the first charge
• Use a constant current battery charger
designed for maintenance free batteries
• After activation and charging cycle of a
new battery make sure you obtain a
voltage of 12.8 Volts or higher.
• Wait for one hour and then check battery
voltage again making sure voltage reading
is above 12.8 Volts. Proceed to a new
charging cycle in case reading is below specified value.
