Just visiting
Just got the Feb issue of Two Wheels Only mag and Roland Brown has a feature on the ten best bike engines ever.

Cue drum roll.........

At number 1

Ducati 851

I think you'll find.....

...it was the C90.

Never needed servicing, never needed oil, never needed washed, never needed repaired (even when crashed), started first time every time....

that was an engine. In fact mine is still on forst tank of fuel - did I mention great MPG!

No, C90 came in at number 5.

( cant remember a step through winning a WSB race ).

Any of the Kwacker stroker triples feature in the list? Always thought Kawasaki make brilliant engines, just don't seem to know how to design frames and suspension...think the 500/750 triples were particularly awesome but the infamous frames just couldn't keep up, literally!

1. Ducati 851
2.Honda CB750
3.Yamaha R1
4.Suzuki GSXR1100
5.Honda C90
6.Kawasaki Z1
7.Honda NSR 500
8.Triumph Daytona 675
9.Harley Davidson Evolution
10.Kawasaki H1 500

C90...

...I still don't think the C90 got a fair hearing.... position 5 - that's not right! More like position 1,000,005. :lol2:

Are you sure it was the Feb edition, more like April 1 :D its missing quite a few engines I'd think should be there.

Oh, an H1 didn't just have a hinge in the middle, they enjoyed eating pistons as well, did 3 on my Mach 111 and I only had it for a year :)
