Who has the best UK club and why?
Why do some charge?
Take a peek.

Do you really have to ask which is the best club?

I may be biased but I think the SDC is the best UK Ducati club at the moment because of the ethos of the members. We're all here to ride and enjoy our bikes and participation levels in the SDC are probably the highest in the UK. We don't take ourselves too seriously and our main aims are fun and frienship.

We have an amazing range of bikes from the first Desmo ever ordered (in the world) to a rare 239 Desmo and I think we may have the finest collection of Ducati Tricolores through the ages. We have wonderful people like Francis who welcomed us all at the Masher and provided tea and craic for the multitudes.

Someone said, 'you only get out of a club what you put into it'. The members of the SDC put their love of Ducatis, their humour and their cameraderie into making the Scottish Ducati Club, 'simply the best'.

It's an honour to be the President of such a wonderful group of people. Give yourselves all a pat on the back and a hug from me.

:flash:Roll on 2012 - it's going to be bigger an better.:flash:

Here here - well said

"Our two main aims are fun and friendship and watching Pict's progress on project Superspurt"

Sorry - our 3 main aims are. . . . . . .

Hey Ho its not always about the 'best club' but often can be about the most convenient (location, location etc) or the 1 with whom you make good friends with.

As you'll see I suggested that he came along to 1 of DOCGB meetings (he does live in Manchester after all) to see if its what he wanted to do. No pressure, just sample the evening and then decide if you'd like to come to a few more and possibly other events that happen too. Then its upto them.

Nae pressure needed Nelly, the gas explosion just happened all on its own..:cool:

I have to say I visit that forum to keep in touch with events when I'm staying down south. The members I've encountered have always treated me with friendliness. Deeper into the thread one of the members summed it up perfectly for me " You own a Ducati! What more of a club do you need"
