Hi,
So what are you hoping for ?

I myself have opted for christmas vouchers from DG. Always hate getting something I've got several of - i.e another toolkit etc. I ask relatives to buy me cleaning solutions, chain lube and cleaner. Ain't I boring!!
Have already started ordering items i.e tailpack for my 1098 that fits on the pillion seat. No indication of how much but I don't think it will stretch to a bike purchase.

Just some nuts and an satsuma please.....in a long black stocking (preferably not a thai ladyboys)

if you can stretch to it, an MOT on saturday would be nice!!!!:santawink:

Hmmmmmm, my head says new pair of alpinestars boots.....but then i'll be sitting waiting for April desperate to get some use out of them & get my bike back on the road.........Ok decision made, Playstation 3 please!:D

The tailpack is around £100. Just picked one up for the 848. Great quality.

I got my first pressie today from a friend at work:
A little Santa, which I shall call...mini-me:-

We got bored in the afternoon and he didn't seem interested in bikes, so we played hide and seek:

It was all going swimmingly well until a big pink monster came along and scared him off:

Excellent! Take it you had a busy day at work today.:D

Forgot to say I'd like heated grips and a light weight aluminium ladder, one of those fancy folding ones would be nice.:D

And a poetry book. :)

Christmas is cancelled - I think I will be paying a rather large deposit in the morning, which will leave me skint for a couple of years ;)

Mine is cancelled too, as I have just paid a rather large deposit on my new house! So I'll be skint for the next few decades.
Completely un-Ducati related, athough I could call it a new home for the bike........

I bought myself one of those kriega tailpacks for the 848 - 20 litre with 2x10 litres bags.

So I guess that will have to be my Chrimbo pressie unless I hook myself Ben Bostrum in the mean time?

AlanE - thanks for the laugh this morning

I bought the same pack to do the Breast Way Round run last year and it was good, completely waterproof and surprisingly spacious.:D

The one drawback is that once it is packed and on the bike it is a hassle to access it during the day. My answer was to have a bumbag. I used to always have my tank bag but can't use it now as my tank is plastic.

IDEA!!! Maybe Santa could bring me a tank bag for plastic tanks - if there is such a thing?:D

Mary...I am sure Santa will find one but only if you remembered to write to him! :lol2: This is not a problem when you have an 11yr old St2 like me!

Have a good X-Mas:rofl: :xmas_emot:

Tank bags.

Alpinestars do this or the alternative is a Baglux system

Has anyone tried a tankbag on their 1098/848? One that does not knock the hell out of the tank.
The Alpinestar one looks the job, but has anyones used anything better?

I have got the Ducati Tailbag & am just looking for a small tankbag to pack a few t-shirts & skiddies for a weekend away next summer.

Quite a few people at the meeting last night were talking about tank bags for plastic tanks. There appear to be three ways to attach it:
1 Straps
2 Suction pads
3 Fuel cap clip ons as described in previous text

Does anyone have any experience of any of the above?:)

useful features like map illumination and internal tank bag lights

Has to be the ultimate gimmick/feature :) "Just a minute I'll look in my tankbag" slowly opening to reveal an illuminated space like a miniature car boot

Problem is it doesn't seem to have a lipstick holder. :D
